About Shirley Ryan
In 1990 I worked in a politically volatile position
as an executive director within a large public agency. Over the
years, stress took its toll, and I began to feel fatigued. After extensive
tests, my doctor informed me that I had a tumor in my lung and that
had had only a 30% possiblity of living. (No, I didn't smoke.) The doctors
performed surgery immediately. Between the surgery and my own successful
methods of healing, I became healthy again.
Until then, I had been meditating sporadically, but after the news of my illness, I began meditating in earnest, on a daily basis. I even took her newly designed meditation tapes into the surgical suite. Unheard of at the time, the doctor smiled and said that must be a "west coast thing." I returned the smile and let him know that I would respectfully do whatever work it took to heal my body. This included collaborating in surgery with him. He told me that my natural inclination to a positive attitude would be one bridge to a success outcome and encouraged me to do what I needed alternately to increase my good health. To promote my health, I took stock of my life and changed. I ate differently, meditated regularly, exercised regularly, and used my mind to think more skillfully and more positively. After the surgery and recovery I also went back to school to become a therapist. The rest is history! I have been healthy ever since.
I have developed many systems over the years, and use the power of the word to create new inner landscapes that uplift and restore energy integrity. As an experienced therapist I have encouraged and helped many people on their spiritual journey. I use guided, hypnotic, visualization (HGV) and the power of story and metaphor to reach deep levels of the subconscious mind, and to assist those who want to see their history, through past lives. My meditations are enthused with the loving intent to share transformative information that touches the mind, heart and soul. Over the years I have built a large client base on the strength of my techniques, my scripts and guided imagery. See my credentials below:
